Personality - Choosing Your Wedding Photographer (Part 4)

Today is Part 4 of 4 in our Choosing Your Wedding Photographer Series.

So this week we are taking about the last of the big four things that will help you choose your wedding photography. Honestly, in the free guide (you can download it here) this is listed as the second one but I chose to do it last here for one simple reason...it's my favourite!

Take a read below and join me tonight at 4:30pm on live video to learn more and have your questions about finding a photographer with the right personality for you answered!

All your wedding vendors are important to the success of your big day. They can make or break your entire experience leading up to and on your wedding day based on their skill, professionalism, and how well you get along with them. With that said, there are few vendors you will spend as much time with on the wedding day (as well as leading up to, and after your wedding day) than your photographer.

Here’s an example.

Your DJ

Initial Consultation ‐ 30 to 60 mins

Correspondence 30 mins

Hours on the wedding day ‐ 6 hours

Total time ‐ 7.5 hours

Compare that with the average time spent with my brides & grooms (doesn’t include editing etc ‐ just time spent with or talking to my clients)

Rebecca Nash Photography

Initial Consult ‐ 60 mins

Engagement Session Consult ‐ 60 mins

Engagement Session ‐ 90 mins

Engagement Reveal Session ‐ 90 mins

Engagement Product Delivery ‐ 30 mins

Wedding Timeline Meeting ‐ 60mins

Wedding Day ‐ 8 to 10 hours

Wedding Reveal Session ‐ 2 hours

Album Design & Revisions ‐ 30 to 60 mins

Wedding Product Delivery ‐ 30 mins

Correspondence (calls, emails etc throughout entire process) ‐ 5+ hours

Total Time ‐ 22.5 hours or more

While photographers processes (and therefore time spent with clients) can vary greatly, your photographer is likely to be the vendor your spend the most time with throughout your wedding. It is so important to make sure you have chosen someone who you feel comfortable with and who you feel will add to your wedding day experience through their presence.

When you sit accross the table from a photographer think, could I see myself being happy to spend all day with this person?
