A Day Out with the Ladies - The Blushing Babes Society #BlushingBabesBrunch
Last Sunday I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Blushing Babes Society’s Brunch.
The Blushing Babe Society had their first in person London, Ontario based event back in 2018 and I wanted to attend so badly but tickets went so fast that I really never had a chance.
After hearing from friends what an awesome event it was, I knew I had to attend the next one. How committed was I? I even ask a friend who works on a more flexible schedule if she could try to get on and get me a ticket knowing that timing would be challenging for me.
Picture this, a room full of gorgeous decor, brilliant boss babes, delicious brunch (my favourite meal in the world), and real conversation on what it takes to be a badass in business and life.
In this room I wasn’t the odd one out. I wasn’t the only one trying hard to grow. I wasn’t the only woman, only mom, or only one trying to balance the demands of a family, a day job, and a business. These are my people!
All of us had a little different story whether due to our situation, our industry, how long we had been in business but there were more things that unified us than that set us apart.
I walked away not only empowered but feeling like I had found my tribe. I seriously cannot wait til their next event.
If I had one regret from this event, it’s that I didn’t get to talk to more amazing ladies. I was hiding behind my anxiety and observing more than anything. Next time, I’m going in ready and excited to meet new amazing people.

I’m also super grateful to the MC - Sherrie Rains - and event panelists - Kimberly Buckley, Britt Havens, Melissa Won, and Gillian Mandich for all their insights. It was great to hear from you ladies about your successes, your struggles, and you individual approaches.
P.S. I’m Also, I’m kinda in love with this flower wall backdrop they had setup. Anyone else?
